Our story with Kristen and Sabrina speaks to the importance of working with a realty team that has deep local knowledge. We knew the area in Old Town where we wanted to purchase a home and had been researching the market intensively through various sites for weeks. A friend had put us in touch with a different team of realtors who specialized in the DC market rather than Old Town. We had had an initial conversation with them. There was one particular house that was at the top of our list. The initial realtors encouraged us to move on because the asking price was at the high end of our budget and they didn't think that there was any way we could get the house within our budget. With the Thanksgiving weekend behind me I have been reflecting on things I am thankful for with my new home on the top of my list.

Frank and I were looking to buy a home and narrowed our search to Old Town.  We went to an open house at 738 Fords Landing Way and met Kristen.  She was warm and engaging despite folks mulling all around.  I e-mailed her the very next day and asked her to help us find a home, which took all of three weeks.  We bought the first house we saw – 738 Fords Landing Way.

The process was so easy despite the lack of inventory last summer.
